Navtec was the pioneer in Hydraulic Systems for Sailboats and has more Systems in use today than any other manufacturer.
Navtec Hydraulics have been used on America’s Cup, Vendee Globe, Volvo Series and every other major Racing Circuit in the world, as well as innumerable smaller and Maxi Yachts.
We have Cylinders in the field that are still performing perfectly after over 40 years on the water (with proper service). Ask anyone that services or repairs Sailboat Hydraulics which Systems last longest, are easiest to service and maintain, and offer the best availability of replacement parts. At some point (when, depends on many factors including usage, conditions and care) your Hydraulic Systems will require Service.
At a minimum, Gasket and Seals (the ‘soft’ parts) will occasionally need replacement, it is less often that other Navtec parts will need to be replaced.
You will know that Service is necessary when pressure drops, or if you have an Oil leak.
When your Navtec System needs Service, we recommend that you Call a Local Navtec Dealer.
Hydraulic Systems are complex, and require a variety of specialized tools and equipment to properly service.
Seal replacement and repairs cannot be done by an individual without these tools and the necessary training.
Navtec recommends that all Service be performed by an Authorized Navtec Hydraulic Service Center, See Navtec World-wide Dealers.
Our World-wide network of Service Centers consist of fully equipped, trained Navtec Authorized Professionals, some of whom have been working on Navtec Hydraulics for decades.
New Service Centers are being added as needed, after proper training.
In the event there is no convenient Navtec Service Center near you, or otherwise available, you can send Repairs directly to us at the Navtec Hydraulics Factory.
We will carefully dissect your Cylinders, Panels and other components, and replace all parts necessary to bring them to maximum performance.
All components will be certified on Factory test beds to bring them up to specifications with a full Factory Warranty.
Navtec Hydraulics Factory rates for rebuilding Cylinders are listed below. All rebuild prices include labor and seal kits only.
If other components are deemed necessary, you will be contacted with pricing before work continues.
Ship items directly to the Factory. We recommend that you insure shipments for full replacement value.
Please cap all Ports (we will send you Caps if necessary), if you send Hoses we will replace them with new.
